Workforce

Proactive Security has built this foundation with an exceptional workforce. This workforce has been created using the following procedures:

Pre-Employment Screening

Proactive Security conducts its own pre-hire background checks, testing and drug screening to ensure that only the highest caliber of security professionals become Proactive Security employees. Less than 25% of all applicants are hired. Our pre-employment screening includes:

  • Criminal Background Checks
  • Drug Test
  • Employment Verification
  • Education Verification
  • Reference Checks
  • Report Writing Test

Depending on the position, additional requirements may be required including DMV checks, psychological tests, aptitude tests, physicals, fitness tests, etc.

Drug Free Environment

Proactive Security believes in a drug free workplace and uses both pre-hire screening and random drug testing to ensure that we accomplish this goal. All potential employees will submit for a drug test prior to hiring.

Positive Work Environment

Proactive Security believes in a positive work environment and in having happy employees. Our employees are the building blocks of our company and as such, we strive to maintain employee satisfaction and retention.

Initial Training

All Security Officers of Proactive Security must complete initial training requirements which consist of 45 hours of instruction. This training consists of instruction in basic security procedures, guard orders, customer services, professionalism, fires, bomb threats, detecting criminal activity, non-lethal force, first aid, CPR, report writing and a variety of other information. Upon completion of this instruction all officers receive certification in the use of mace, first aid and CPR. This training must be completed within the first 120 days of employment.

Specialized Training

Proactive Security provides its officers with a variety of specialized training programs depending on the requirements from their post assignment.  These training programs are provided at no cost and range from Alcohol Classes to Terrorism training depending on the client location.

Continuing Education

Once hired, Proactive Security employees will receive continuous training to ensure that they remain current on a variety of issues. Depending on rank, security officers must complete 16 to 40 hours of annual continuing education.

Experience

Proactive Security has provided security services for over 40 years providing dedicated, high-quality services to it's satisfied customers. Our management team, sales professionals and supervisors have varied backgrounds in security, military, law enforcement and government service totaling over 200 years combined experience in these areas.

Large, Diversified Client Based With Specialization

Proactive Security services a wide variety of clients including gas stations, supermarkets, apartment complexes, office building, high-rise office buildings, industrial buildings, construction sites, shopping centers, medical centers, restaurants, hotels, car dealerships, government facilities and a wide variety of other clients. This large client based gives Proactive Security a diversified employee base, in which to draw employees from. At the same time Proactive Security provides specialized training for employees to ensure the correct knowledge for each type of client.

Client Specific Post Orders

A specific set of post orders are developed for each location that Proactive Security provides services too. These post orders contain a description of the property, services provided, property responsible for (keys, etc.), emergency contracts, post orders for that specific post and a map of the location. These post orders are located on the property for each officer to use, in all patrol vehicles for supervisor access, and in the National Command Center for and as needed basis.

Computerized Tracking System

Proactive Security maintains one of the most state-of-the art tracking systems available for monitoring the activity of roving patrols. Computer buttons are installed throughout the property and an officer uses a computerized hand wand to monitor his/her Patrol Activities. In-depth, highly accurate computerized reports can be generated at any time showing the exact time an officer was at a specific location on the property.

Professionalism

Proactive Security has four professional uniforms for our security officers. Uniforms are assigned on a client specific basis, depending on the needs of the client. In addition, all employees are assigned photo identification.

Safety

A uniformed security officer helps to enforce safety policies, point out safety hazards, checks to ensure proper safety equipment is accounted for and working, and takes appropriate action in the event of an emergency.

24 Hour Dispatch

With a large client base and multiple supervisors in the field we are able to consistently achieve a response time below 15 minutes when a situation is called into our 24 hour dispatch center.
